Common questions, short answers.
The most frequently asked questions about additional axle conversions, certification and warranty.
We carry out chassis modifications on the Otokar Atlas 15, Atlas 11 and Atlas 9. As an approved supplier of Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi A.Ş., we provide a bodywork service under warranty.
The Isuzu NPR 3D, Isuzu NQR 3D and Isuzu TORA are the main vehicles on which we carry out additional axle conversions. We also fit an additional axle and extend the chassis on the Mercedes-Benz Atego 1518.
We carry out the modification using the original components used by the vehicle manufacturer. On the additional axles we manufacture, the bearings, hubs and calipers are the same as those on the vehicle's drive axle, so we stay true to the vehicle's original design.
We carry out preliminary tests with our own test equipment. The technical units affected by the modification are then tested together with technical services authorised by the Ministry of Science, Industry and Technology of the Republic of Türkiye, and the test reports are obtained. The engineering documentation (project file) for the vehicle is prepared and an application for certification is submitted to TSE. All of these steps are carried out by our authorised in-house engineers.
The mechanism is operated by two buttons on the dashboard in the cab. The system is load- and speed-sensitive: when the vehicle is laden and travelling below 30 km/h, the additional axle can be raised to improve traction and manoeuvrability on slippery surfaces. Once the vehicle exceeds 30 km/h, the additional axle lowers automatically, even if the button is held down.
The Isuzu TORA 21-tonne additional axle and Isuzu NPR Tractor Unit 16T applications featured in our catalogues come with a warranty of 2 years or 100,000 km. For other applications, please contact us.
